I was a top producing sales associate with Frank Howard Realtors for fourteen years. For two of those years I was a member of the Management Team in the capacity of the Director of Agent Training, where I developed a network of the best REALTORS® in the Bay Area.

We are also active members of the Marin Independent Brokers Network (IBN) where we are kept abreast of legal updates and other changes in the industry with monthly speaker meetings and a website. There are advantages to working with a small company: we are free to provide our clients with the highest level of customized service without undue Policy and Procedure restrictions of larger companies designed to the lowest level of agent experience but mandated to all agents in the company. We are free to tailor our service to your individual needs while maintaining our high ethical position.

We provide the utmost in discretion and the assurance of your privacy that can only come from a small firm with integrity. We also avoid the conflict of interest that is ever present in large firms with their "Associate Licensees", Salesperson or Broker representing more than one side in a transaction (dual agency). We as a company (the company not the individual is the “Agent” under Californai Law) will only represent the buyer or the seller (single agency), never both sides in one sales transaction (dual agency).

EXPERT WITNESS

I am occasionally referred by attorneys to other attorneys as an Expert Witness in the Standard of Care that real estate agents should be expected to provide. My background as a municipal Building Inspector combined with over two decades in real estate sales and my experience as the former Director of Agent Training for Frank Howard Allen Realtors makes me a natural for this kind of work. But don’t worry Expert Witness work is only occasional and does not take me away from helping you with the purchase or sale of your home.

WHO WE ARE:

Hi! I’m Bill Johnson, a second generation REALTORS®. I grew up in a real estate family in Massachusetts. My father started in the real estate business in 1950. I attended the Boston Architectural Center and assisted Walter Gropius at The Architects Collaborative in Cambridge Massachusetts. I also worked for Hurricane Island Outward Bound School in Maine as well as the New York Yacht Club Race Committee during the 1970 America’s Cup Races. I ran a boatyard near Bar Harbor Maine and was a Marine Surveyor in Sausalito. For five years I also worked for the Building Inspection Department of the County of Marin.

I began my real estate carrier with Redwood Empire Properties in Mill Valley in 1984, The following year I became a sales associate with Frank Howard Allen Realtors in Marin. For two of those years, I was a member of the management team as the Director of Agent Training. I became aware that, with advancements in technology, I could provide better service to my clients if I was an independent broker unburdened of the constraints placed upon agents in a large multi-agent company.
